Hi Ya’ll. Welcome to The Christian Family Table
My name is Kathie. I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 3. I been on this planet for 66 years. I grew up in a simpler time, one where we had family dinner together every day where as a Christian we invited Jesus to the table by saying grace.
We talked about our day and what happened at school and who was our best friend that day. When everyone had finished eating, we did the dishes and ran out to play until the streetlights came on.
Why I Started This Blog
I am starting this blog because I learned the hard way that forgoing family dinner with Jesus for a life full of sports, dancing and other activities cost my family more than the good it did.
I was a single parent raising 3 kids alone when I learned my city offered free sports, dancing, gymnastics, art and other activities. I believed letting my children participate in these activities would give them the best life ever. I could not afford this these activities for them.

As Christians What Forsaking Family Dinner Did to My Family
Before this, we had regular family dinners and were strongly connected. I knew all their friends, and what was going on in their lives. We invited Jesus to dinner and talked.
Life In The Present
If you fast forward to today, sports and afterschool activities are the norm and family dinners are often eaten on the way to or from the activities. I truly believe this is causing the breakdown of the family and the loss of the connection to Jesus and our Christian values.
I am not trying to condemn you at all. I have been there, done that and I have that t-shirt. In this blog, I am going to teach you the importance of family dinner and give you tips and tricks for ways to have family dinner no matter what the table looks like.
Conclusion
It does not matter if your children are in kindergarten or high school seniors, it is never too late to start having family dinner with Jesus and reap all the benefits.
I pray you will join Jesus and me on this journey to turn family dinner into a safe haven for your children to have a family fully connected to Jesus and each other so they can live in this world and not be part of it.
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
