The Christian Family Table

More Connected, More Spiritual

ABOUT

The Christian Family Table

Do you feel like your family is not as close as they used to be?

Are you worried your children are being influenced by what they see going on in today’s world?

Has your lives become so busy you feel like your family are ships passing in the night?

In this blog, I will provide tips and resources to help Christian parents turn family dinner into a safe haven where family bonds are strengthened, Christian and family values are learned and practiced, and Jesus is welcomed.

In this safe haven, family members are able to speak openly and receive guidance, learn conversation and future life skills, eat healthier, and the bonds they develop make them less likely to be persuaded by others to go against Christian and family values.

Research shows Children who eat family meals regularly do better in school.

During this time, all family members learn to lead authentic Christian lives so they can live in the world and not be of the world. It is through this connection strong Christian families are built now and in future generations.

About Kathie

Hi, Ya’ll

I’m Kathie. I’m first and foremost a child of the most high God. I’m passionate about glorifying Him and making the most of my days on this earth. All I have and all I am is thanks to my Creator and Redeemer.

My Divine Mission from God

To be a Servant leader to bring people to Jesus and help Christian Mothers and grandmothers raising their grandchildren steward their families toward God and create strong Christian families committed to Jesus and each other through all future generations.

I am a passionate advocate for getting families back to the dinner table with Jesus no matter what it looks like. I love working with Christian mothers and grandmothers raising their grandchildren to help them connect their families with Jesus at the dinner table no matter what it looks like.

I’m from New Orleans, Louisiana and what we call down here, a born and bred on the bayou Cajun. I love to cook and feed people. Nothing makes me happier than having a bunch of people over for food fun and Jesus. Cooking is one of my love languages. I believe my mission in life is to get families back to the dinner table with Jesus.

I love to travel and was a full time Rv’er for 5 years and during that time, I lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park for a total of 10 months over 2 years and spent 6 months at Bryce Canyon. During this time, I learned I wasn’t really a city girl at all. I am a nature lover and aside from cooking, hiking is my favorite pastime. In Yellowstone, I had a bear encounter on the Picnic trail. Yes I still hike.

I am a mother of 3, 1 boy and 2 girls, grandmother to 7 and great grandmother to 3.

I was a high school dropout and earned a master’s degree in special education. I taught for 33 years, and was on the committee that  developed a curriculum to help Special Needs students connect with their families and navigate the community safely.

I was a single parent raising 3 kids when I decided to forgo family dinner so my children could participate in sports, dance and gymnastics believing these activities would give them the better life. Instead loosing that daily connection to my family and Jesus led my son to drugs and both he and his sister became teenage parents.

I am now a passionate advocate for getting families back to the dinner table with Jesus no matter what it looks like. I love working with Christian mothers and grandmothers raising their grandchildren to help them connect their families with Jesus at the dinner table.

I am Best-selling author and Public Speaker, Born again Christian and I own a faith-based business.
